Brian Koehler

Brian has been building and painting theatrical sets, as well as hanging, focusing, and running lights, for over thirteen years; and has been designing sets and lights, and tech directing, for almost ten years. His scenic designs at other theatres include Dracula, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Cinderella. Although on a hiatus for the last show (as well as a couple others last year), Brian has been designing the sets and lights, as well as tech directing, for LBSC since February of 2006. Some of his more recent designs with the company include The Braid of the Muses, Sherlock Holmes and a Scandal in Bohemia, Loves Labours Lost, and Alice in Wonderland. Brian holds a BA in Theatre and a BFA in Art from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI. He has also received a national award through USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology) for his portfolio with an emphasis on his design for Dracula. Brian has a number of credits in theatrical design (and so forth), illustration, and acting and is currently on the hunt for a life path that will allow him to make a career out of a combination of these.
