LBSC RECREATES THE MEETING OF "FATHER RADIO DRAMA" AND "FATHER CHRISTMAS"
On December 24, 1939, Orson Welles' adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol became the holiday favorite of the airwaves. Welles, who turned radio
into audio theatre, captured the essence of Dickens' festive ghost
story, and it became an annual tradition to tune in. And it has
again...at the Richard Goad Theatre.
For the second year
in a row, LBSC brings to life the much-loved characters, including
Marley's Ghost, Scrooge's Nephew, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and Ebenezer
Scrooge. Three performances only, in a live webcast, with music and sound effects performed by the actors! Friday and Saturday, December 20th and 21st, at 8pm, and Sunday, December 22nd, at 2pm. Tickets are $10.00 and are available at www.lbshakespeare.org or by reservation at 562-997-1494.
